The clock was ticking. The Glamazons’ Eastern Seaborne Tour was underway. We were heading down to Key West performing shows along the way with only two weeks to finalize details! On top of all this, our very own Lady Finger was getting married! Not just a normal wedding, but doing it the only way a true Glamazon can, on T.V. on the Style network for an episode of “Who’s Wedding it is Anyway?”
We had shows to perform, a wedding to plan and time was not on our side. Now you Glam fans know, we were not about to step on that tour bus without the fiercest new outfit! The Glamazons have to keep our fans delighted and guessing! We needed a new getup that expressed our rambunctious yet poised style! Miraculously, at one of our last rehearsals before heading out, our luscious and fabulous choreographer Johnnie P. (http://www.johnniep.com/) pulled out a sketch of us all decked out in fringe dresses (snaps for Johnnie P! He just knew “fringe” had to be our next style choice for our fans!). There was a beautiful drawing of Ginger Snap in royal blue that set her fare skin and red hair aglow. Lady Finger was portrayed in a hot red fringe dress looking sexy and ominous – a true Diva! Caramella was drawn in a goldenrod yellow that made her skin and hair shine like the setting sun. And, Candy Apple was as perky in her pink fringe dress as she could be –dimples deep set and cute as ever.
But, where were we going to find such amazing dresses within a two week time crunch? We searched high and low and finally stumbled upon Pink Label Corsets (http://www.pinklabelcorsets.com/)! Pink Label Corsets offer exciting and affordable custom made fashions and specialize in corsets. We loved their style but we needed fringe dresses! We read that the Pink Label Designers also design by request so we desperately emailed Tuley, the founder and owner of Pink Label Fashions explaining our dilemma. Tuley graciously accepted the challenge as she was a Glamazon fan and Glamazon at heart, lucky us! We were ecstatic and grateful beyond belief!
The fringe dresses were on the way! Yet this was no easy task; fitting us four buxom babes under a week. At this point, we were already on the tour bus, so we hurriedly took measurements; practically falling over each other at some odd hour of the night, emailing and calling Tuley “oops we miss-measured ourselves.” Tuley, willingly obliged us (it’s so great to work with a professional!). We were down to the wire and had mere hours before our big show in Key West. Pacing in our hotel room, hoping we had the dresses in time, we heard a knock on the door and lo and behold it was Tuley’s beautiful daughter Chris! She hand delivered us the dresses and the rest was fringe-madness herstory! Tuley truly worked her magic. Thank you Tuley and Chris!
Our Glam-fam and fans will be able to see the final fringe dresses on the Style network. The episode is called “The Road to I do” for the show “Who’s Wedding it is anyway?” It’s scheduled to air on December 20th at 9PM EST. The Glamazons were so excited to have Tuley and the Pink Label crew along for the ride –helping us shimmy and shake our loveliness one Glamazon strand at a time!
